As president and founder of, Mike has created one of the most popular, friendly, resourceful, client-oriented speakers bureaus in the United States. As a successful entrepreneur, Mike believes that good business hinges on “committed personal relationships, social responsibility and integrity.”

Mike has a hands-on commitment to and often personally involves himself with the day-to-day booking process to guarantee clients will be completely satisfied with services. He stays up-to-date on all industry trends, current events and new speaker candidates. He is an active member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), Meeting Planners International (MPI), International Association of Speakers Bureaus (IASB) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Mike graduated with honors in the Social Sciences, with a minor in Communications and major in Rhetoric (yes, we appreciate the irony of a Rhetoric major owning a speakers bureau), from the University of California at Berkeley. He has published hundreds of articles on meeting technologies, management, entrepreneurship, customer service, keynote speaking, the speakers bureau industry and leadership.

Out of the office, Mike can be found competing in water polo and long-distance ocean swimming; hiking / camping; gardening; creating sculpture; and supporting youth and environmental groups.

Sally Hughes, Marketing Manager

Sally Hughes, Marketing Manager

Sally has over 30 years of marketing and public relations experience working in education, corporate and non-profit settings. During her ten years at, Sally has launched new branding and public relations campaigns and spearheads all speaker marketing programs. She plans our overall communications strategy, develops branding and messaging then promotes our speakers across various media outlets including traditional television, radio and print, press releases, direct mail, advertising and the entire online realm of websites, blogs, wikis, social networks and related portals.

Sally received her AA from Santa Barbara City College as a single, full-time employee and re-entry Mom in 1981. Continuing on to the University of California at Santa Barbara Sally excelled, earning her BA ³Summa Cum Laude² in 1985 in a unique Liberal Studies Major combining Linguistics, Anthropology and Psychology. Immediately thereafter, she was accepted into an APA-accredited, highly selective graduate program and graduated, receiving her M.A. in Counseling Psychology with special emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy in 1987.

In addition to her work at, Sally is also an ATM-Gold award Toastmaster and serves as an Area Governor for the Toastmasters organization; she teaches speaking and and listening skills to underserved R.O.P. adolescents at high schools across the country; and is publishing her first book about teen suicide prevention.

Brycen Morehart, Account Executive

After ten years with Apple Computer as an innovative technology leader, Brycen decided he wanted a new challenge. So, he joined in 2009 to become our new technology manager.

During his one year tenure as our technology manager he learned everything about the bureau business; and is now one of our most successful and popular account executives.

Brycen takes pride in matching clients with the perfect speakers and managing every detail of the booking process. His client events are always smash hits!

Brycen has a B.A. in computer science from Stanford University and an Associates in Graphic Design. Brycen enjoys kite surfing, attending industry conferences, his two pups (Mandy and Mindy) and reading inventive new business books by authors.

Sarah Capri, Event Logistics Manager

Sarah helps keep track of all event logistics, from accounting to speaker travel arrangements. Sarah has over 15 years experience as an event planner at Fortune 1000 companies and as an independent meeting planner. She is highly detailed oriented and understands the meeting business from the inside – so all booked events run smoothly.

Our client’s rely on Sarah to assist them with urgent / last minute requests, logistics help, creative event planning tips and advice on how to get the most benefit from their presenter. A recent client comment sums this up, “I’ve been planning events for over 20 years and am now the global meetings planner for {a Fortune 500 company}. Not only is Sarah fun to work with, but she gave me valuable advice about the speaker planning process I’ve never heard before. My CEO thinks I’m a genius now, in part thanks to Sarah!”

Julia Watson, Web Manager

Julia Watson, Web Manager

Julia manages our popular Web site, helps with general office duties and adds new speakers to our bureau.

An early adopter Millennial Gen X-er, she brings to the table several years worth of new media writing and editing experience at arts and culture as well as literary sites.

Julia is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego. She enjoys cooking, reading, film/TV, and – as she says – generally just “geeking out.” She is also currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing for the Performing Arts at UC Riverside¹s Palm Desert Graduate Center.
