Comedic actress and producer Sara Foster is best known for co-starring with sister Erin Foster in the VH1 parody reality series Barely Famous. The sisters created and produced the series which ran for two seasons. Sara is currently producing an untitled scripted show for Netflix, created by her sister Erin and starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. Sara will produce alongside Steve Levitan (Modern Family) and Craig DiGregorio (Kevin Can F*ck Himself). Sara is also well known for her recurring role on the popular CW series 90210 as Jen Clark.
In 2018, Sara was named Co-Head of Creative for the tech app Bumble. “Erin and Sara are true forces of nature and have already brought so much value to our brand and our culture,” said Whitney Wolfe Herd, Bumble Founder and CEO. They also went on to become advisors to the workout system, Mirror, which sold to Lululemon in 2020 for $500 million. Off of their successes in the tech space, Sara and her sister founded Oversubscribed Ventures, a venture fund that invests in consumer brands and technology. As of January 2024, they have invested in Nara Organics, Juliet, Exponent Beauty, Pizza Girl, Batch, 10Beauty, and FuturHealth. Prior to founding Oversubscribed, Sara made personal investments in Rowan, Summersalt, and ZenWtr.
In 2020, Sara and her sister Erin launched clothing and lifestyle brand Favorite Daughter which has grown into a major DTC contemporary label with distribution at Nordstrom, Revolve, Saks Fifth Avenue, Moda Operandi and Selfridges. Favorite Daughter has been worn by Riley Keough, Ashley Graham, Shawn Mendes, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Katy Perry, and many others.
Sara & Erin have also launched The World’s First Podcast, which is in its third year and covers topics including therapy, wellness, relationships, and business. Their guests have included Kate Hudson, Kris Jenner, and Courteney Cox.
She currently lives in Los Angeles with her partner, former professional tennis player, Tommy Haas, and their two girls Valentina and Josephine.
