Cameron Herold's speaking fee falls within range: $30,000 to $50,000
One of America’s most admired entrepreneurs, Cameron Herold has built three $100 million+ businesses. He draws from his vast experience across all aspects of business to help companies supercharge their growth and productivity while fostering vibrant work cultures that attract, maintain, and inspire top talent.
As a child, Cameron struggled with academics and was even told in school that he wasn’t smart. Starting at the age of seven with the support of his father, he created various ventures such as collecting coat hangers from around the neighborhood and selling them to dry cleaners.
Thirty years later, he transferred his experiences to his position of COO of 1-800-Got Junk?, a residential and commercial junk removal company that keeps over 60% of its collected items out of landfills by recycling and donating. Under his supervision 1-800-Got-Junk? grew from a $2 million to $106 million international business.
Currently Cameron serves as President of the world’s largest private currency used by over 30,000 companies across the globe. In the past five years he has spoken in over 25 countries and across 5 continents sharing his original techniques and strategies on how to navigate the business world and obtain “hyper-growth.”
Throughout his career, Cameron Herold has been instrumental in the successful sale, branding and integration of a remarkable 500 business locations with three major companies. He may be best known as a driving force behind 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s spectacular growth from $2 Million to $106 Million in revenue in just six years. But this dynamic leader has been a entrepreneurial innovator since launching his first company at the age of 21.
His wide range of executive roles has given him expertise across all aspects of business, from strategic planning, operations, people, sales, marketing, call centers and PR. Combined with hands-on experience negotiating corporate acquisitions and developing numerous strategic partnerships, there are few real-world business challenges he hasn’t faced.
Now, as the author of Double Double, Cameron mentors a select class of proven CEOs, entrepreneurs and their teams, helping them navigate growth, leadership, and building their own unique company cultures.
He reaches an even broader audience through his content-driven presentations to groups of entrepreneurs, speaking in over twenty countries, on five continents, in just five years.
Cameron is a top-rated lecturer at the EO/MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program and a powerful and effective speaker at EO/YPO & Vistage events around the world.
Additionally, he landed over 5,000 media placements in six years – including coverage on Oprah, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, Fortune and 17 spots on Dr. Phil.
Cameron comments on the failure of parents and schools to focus on developing talents that children exhibit rather than trying to squeeze them into a mold that overly emphasizes studying academics.
“I think we miss an opportunity to find these kids who have entrepreneurial traits and to groom them or show them that being an entrepreneur is a cool thing,” Cameron says. “It’s not something that is a bad thing, that is vilified, which is what happens in a lot of societies.”
He points out that schools are always encouraging children to be a doctor or a lawyer and the media glamorizes the idea of being a sports star, but no one ever talks to students about creating their own businesses rather than going to work for someone else.
Cameron makes the case that teaching children to be entrepreneurs would benefit society.
“I think if we could get kids to embrace the idea at a young age of being entrepreneurial, we could change everything in the world that is a problem today. Every problem that's out there, somebody has the idea for. And as a young kid, nobody can say it can't happen because you're too dumb to realize that you couldn't figure it out.”
Cameron Herold delivers high-content fast-paced presentations packed with advice and strategies perfect for CEOs, small to mid-sized businesses, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
A visionary and risk-taker who’s built a $100 million+ business not once, but three times, he knows the ins and outs and ups and downs of leadership, competition, growth, and publicity. Cameron uses real world examples, graphics, and humor to connect with his audience and change the way they see the obvious.
Leadership - Letters to My Younger Self
After nearly seven years and being in the role of chief operating officer of a company that grew from $2 Million to $106 Million, Cameron wanted the lessons he’d learned to sink in. So, over the period of the three months immediately following leaving the company, he wrote for twenty minutes every day in a journal to capture what he’d learned. He wrote lists. He mind-mapped. He just wrote. He learned about himself during that period of reflecting. Leadership lessons he wished he’d known 20 years earlier but no one had taught him.
