Carlos Baradello: Keynote Speech

Carlos Baradello leads his audience on a journey through the business world, particularly with reference to Latin America, and explains why some companies can become moribund: “It's not because we stop seeing things, but sometimes we see things and we just don't do anything," he says. “We've definitely not tuned our brain into seeing and looking at those opportunities."

He invites his audience to do just that, to tune their brains into new opportunities. Asking the question as to whether there is a market at the base of the social pyramid, he says, “Obviously we are all focusing on the top of the pyramid because we are victims of our own socialization, we don't wake up in the morning and think I'm going to create a new business model which focuses on the people on $3 a day, because those aren't the people we see."
